| Medicare rebate | Paid on eligible sessions under your GP plan. |

What our patients say
Medicare and GP plan questions
Do you bulk bill?
No. Click Physiotherapy does not bulk bill. Medicare plan appointments are charged at our normal consult fee, the Medicare rebate comes off that fee, and you pay the remaining out-of-pocket gap.
How many Medicare sessions can I get?
Under a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan, eligible patients can usually claim up to 5 Medicare-rebated allied health sessions per calendar year. These can be split between different allied health services, as decided with your GP.
Do I need a referral?
Yes. To claim a Medicare rebate you need a referral from your GP under a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan. Without a plan, you can still book a normal physio appointment without a referral.
Can I use my plan for exercise physiology?
Yes, if your GP refers you to exercise physiology. Our Accredited Exercise Physiologists see patients under GP plans.
What is a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan?
It is the Medicare plan your GP uses for people with chronic or complex conditions. It replaced GP Management Plans and Team Care Arrangements from 1 July 2025, which many people still call a Care Plan or EPC.
Can I claim private health as well?
You generally cannot claim the same session on both Medicare and private health insurance. Once your Medicare sessions are used, you can usually claim further sessions through your private health extras cover.
