Laura Halliwell – Physiotherapist North Lakes
Laura is an experienced physiotherapist originally from the north-west of England. From a young age, her logical mind and love of sport naturally drew her toward physiotherapy — the perfect balance of science, movement, and helping others.

After graduating from Cardiff University in Wales in 2019, Laura began her career in a hospital setting, gaining valuable experience across orthopaedics, general medicine, and stroke rehabilitation. In 2021, she transitioned into musculoskeletal physiotherapy — an area she finds both challenging and rewarding, with endless opportunities to assess, diagnose, and problem-solve while building strong, supportive relationships with her patients.
In early 2025, Laura decided to swap the grey skies of the UK for the Queensland sunshine and made the move to Australia. Outside the clinic, she’s a regular at the gym and enjoys running, bouldering, tennis, swimming, and even a bit of surfing — so she knows firsthand what it’s like to be the “injured weekend warrior.”
Having worked in both the UK’s National Health Service and private practice, Laura has treated a wide range of conditions including fractures, osteoarthritis, ACL injuries, and chronic pain. She thrives on helping people achieve their goals and regain confidence in their bodies. Passionate about pre-operative rehabilitation, Laura finds it especially rewarding when her patients make such strong progress that surgery becomes unnecessary.
