Reuben Vanderduys – Physiotherapist

Originally born in Country Queensland, Reuben moved to Papua New Guinea when he was 2 years old. He spent the majority of his schooling at an International School there and formally moved back to Australia when he finished high school.

During his high school years he excelled in Anatomy and Chemistry and enjoyed learning about the body and how it worked. He also met many people from different cultures and walks of life and enjoyed getting to know them. This is where his passion for physiotherapy began – the perfect mix between science and personal interaction.

Reuben attended Australian Catholic University for his bachelors of Physiotherapy, graduating early 2022 and jumping into Private Practice physiotherapy from there. He has since broadened his expertise to include further vestibular training as well as becoming a certified strength and conditioning coach through ASCA.

Reuben’s sporting background is diverse and unique. Some of the sports/hobbies that he has cultivated include: unicycling, ninja warrior, calisthenics, crossfit, parkour, rockclimbing, triathlon and long distance running. He continues to be open to trying new sports and feels that he will be better able to help people with all different sporting backgrounds if he has had the chance to experience their sport too.

Reuben genuinely enjoys meeting new people and encouraging those around him. He enjoys the creative challenge that it often is of discovering the unique ways to encourage movement and growth according to passions, backgrounds and goals.
